ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

Under the High Patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may God Assist Him, the Ministry of Health and Social Protection, in partnership with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Rural Development, Water and Forests, and the African Global Health organization, organized the Second African and First South-South Health Harm Reduction Conference in Marrakech, from September 27 to 29, 2023.

A conclave that brought together over 83 countries and eminent African and international personalities, including ministers, ambassadors, experts, scientists, political leaders, national and international NGO representatives.

With the support of the African Union and the Africa CDC, this major conference strengthened African and South-South exchange platforms around public health, prevention and harm reduction. Various issues were discussed, including the management of emergencies and natural disasters, resources and investments on water, food security strategies in Africa and worldwide, as well as ecosystem and environmental projections.
